Consultant Profile

Doris Fee, President of Blue Ridge Business Consultants, brings you more than twenty years of senior management experience in the development, growth and leadership of local, regional, and national for-profit and non-profit organizations.  She established her consulting practice in 1999 to help organizations evaluate and improve their financial and business operations.  To improve the effectiveness of staff and board members, she also provides customized training and education programs.


Prior to starting her company, Doris was Executive Director for the National Board of Cerfification for Community Association Managers, Senior Vice President for the Community Associations Institute and Vice President Finance and Administration for the Equipment Leasing Association.


Doris has extensive experience in the development and implementation of comprehensive programs integrating management, financial and information systems to streamline processes, enhance internal controls and enhance operational effectiveness.  She has directed financial planning and management functions, including the development of financial reporting systems, budget development, cash flow projections, and resource allocation.  She has directed the research, selection and implementation of numerous membership-based and accounting software systems.  She has authored policy and procedures manuals, developed job descriptions, and established performance standards.  She has directed and managed several office renovations and relocations from conception through planning, budgeting and execution.  In addition, she launched a successful marketing campaign for a new nationwide credentialing program.


Doris is a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations (PANO).  She is a peer reviewer and certified consultant for The Standards for Excellence credentialing program in Pennsylvania.  She serves on the Standards for Excellence Committee and is a certified trainer for PANO.  She earned her Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) in 1992.
